Channel 4 returns to Nerja

British TV station Channel 4 will return to Nerja next week to record a new episode of the series “A Place in the Sun”. This new show will be named “A Place In The Sun: Home or Away”.
The show’s aim is to find homes for British nationals wishing to purchase property in Spain. The show’s production team had already visited the town at the end September last year to record another episode of the series.
Aside from showcasing homes, the show also transfers television viewers to different areas of the towns they visit, such as streets, beaches and other places of interest. This time, due to the fact that the visit will coincide with Easter Week, the Town’s Council informed the Channel 4 about the processions that will take place between Wednesday and Easter Sunday. The show has a large following in UK and it is now recording its eighth season.
On another note, Rural Malaga a magazine dedicated to promoting tourism in the province has awarded the IX Inland Tourism Awards that acknowledge the work of organizations and companies in this field. Tivoli World Benalmádena, the amusement park has hosted this event. Several congressmen, Miss Spain Elisabeth Reyes, the director of Los 40 Principales (Top 40’s radio), mayors and councilors from over thirty municipalities of the province, and representatives of tourism associations and businesses attended the event.
