Nerja hotel and hostel occupancy during the Easter period has been at its best for a long time, with strong signs that the Spanish tourism sector is back to its best again.
During the period from Friday to Sunday occupancy was at 96% according to figures from the Nerja Tourism office, who compiled the statistics on the basis of Nerja hotel administrators on Monday.
During the whole of the Easter Week occupancy rose to 90%. These very strong figures indicate that the coming summer in Nerja will possibly beat last year when hotel occupancy was at its peak and highest since 2008. We also have seen very strong figures in the private transfer sector, with an increase in passengers taking either a private taxi or minibus from Malaga to Nerja.
