The first weekend of July ended with the arrival of more than 200.000 tourists to the province of Malaga and Malaga airport registered nearly 900 landing and take-off operations; meanwhile the bus and María Zambrano train station were both hotbeds for travelers.
It was one of the busiest weekends of the year in Malaga where a tremendous number of tourists arrived, nearly 120.000 did so via Malaga airport. The beginning of July was the busiest during the whole exercise. International tourists will spend an average of ten to fifteen days in the province, spending about 80 euros a day, and will stay either in hotels or apartments. They are seeking both the coast and the interior of the province as well as new cultural offerings and other activities, such as visiting Caminito del Rey.
