On Monday, amid the 55th anniversary celebrations of their discovery, the “Cueva de Nerja” launched a new free mobile app that will make easier to visit what is now the most visited monument in the province for tourists who download it to their mobile platforms. The app has a Geo-locator function that will allow visitors to consult from the spot in which the visitor stands, including the description of the halls, useful information for the visit and a link to purchase tickets to visit the caves.
The section called “Visitor Guide” shows a description of each of the sights of interest in the caves. This app was created to make it easy to provide information even to visitors with hearing disabilities and allows all users to enjoy the additional information at no extra cost.
One of the new improvements that have been implemented is the opening of a free WiFi area. This space is located on Plaza de los Descubridores, which is the access area to the interior of the caves. This way, everyone can download the app in just a few minutes before the tour inside the various halls.
The app is available by download for iPhone and iPad and Android and their development was commissioned to Vloo Solutions, the same company that implemented audio guides in the caves. Hopefully, with this new app, it will be possible to further promote the caves.
