The main beach at Maro was the scene of a new commercial shooting for the Timotei brand. A beautiful young model with long red hair was used to make the new commercial at the western end of the main beach. The producer opted for this particular beach due the stable weather in this location and the natural beauty of the area around the beach. The local town hall of Nerja gave full co-operation to the producer in order for him to make the production, where five large tents where erected in order to accommodate the whole crew of fifteen, along with a host of taxis that traveled up and down to Nerja. The Councillor for tourism was very happy with the affair due to the fact that it provides a good promotion of the area of Nerja without costing the town hall anything.
